attic conversion
Building an addition is not always possible, particularly in Chicago. It is sometimes possible, though, to go up.

Because it was to be used as a music practice space, the family required soundproofing in addition to the HVAC insulation. The conversion included the installation of a new window to allow natural light and building recessed storage closets.
